Nowadays, only 13% of Britain’s land surface is wooded. This is extremely low in comparison to other European countries. At the same time, hundreds of woods are under threat of destruction in the UK.

Moreover, the biodiversity of the land’s forests is stably decreasing over time. Bird indicators, essential markers of biodiversity, continue to sink. With our projects in the UK, we aim to regreen the land and attract wildlife by extending existing forests and reintroducing native tree species in degraded areas.

We aim to restore parts of native woodland by planting a diversity of tree species across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. With the support of forestry experts, we’ve analysed the areas that need assistance the most. We will plant a mix of various native tree species, such as Aspen, Crab Apple, Field Maple, and Common Oak.

We thoroughly monitor the trees post-planting and work closely with the local communities and landowners to ensure the success of our project. The trees that we plant will help to attract wildlife, especially such bird species as Lapwing, Grey Partridge, Tree Sparrow, and Yellow Wagtail.

Our project helps reach tree planting goals set by the UK government, which is key to achieving the UK’s net zero, biodiversity and nature recovery objectives. As our trees grow, they will sequester carbon from the atmosphere, thus contributing to climate change mitigation.
